HyperSpike mass notification speakers
HyperSpike builds high-output loudspeakers for mass notification, designed for spaces where an ordinary ceiling speaker cannot deliver an intelligible message. The problem these solve is reverberation. In a gymnasium, natatorium, atrium, warehouse, parking structure, transit station or large open industrial floor, sound reflects off hard surfaces until words smear together, and a voice evacuation message that cannot be understood does not meet the intelligibility requirement that governs voice systems.
Line array construction addresses that by controlling vertical dispersion, concentrating output toward listeners and away from ceilings and floors, so less reflected energy comes back to compete with the direct sound.
This section covers UL 1480 listed line array speakers, constant-voltage transformers for 70 volt distributed systems, and wall mount brackets.
Specifying these starts with an acoustic assessment rather than a product choice. Establish the reverberation characteristics of the space, the distance from speaker to the farthest listener, and the ambient noise level the message has to overcome. That determines how much output is needed and how many units the space takes. Then confirm the distribution scheme, since a constant-voltage system requires the correct transformer and careful tap setting to keep the amplifier within its rating. Mounting position and aiming matter as much as the speaker itself. Power handling, coverage pattern and listing details are on each product page.
