Fireray 5000-104 Motorised Reflective Auto-Aligning Beam Smoke Detector, UL/FM, 8 m to 100 m

The Fireray 5000-104 is the UL and FM approved 8 m to 100 m model of the Fireray 5000 motorized reflective beam smoke detector range.

The transmitter and receiver share one head and a passive prism returns the beam, so only one side of the protected area needs power and wiring. Smoke in the path weakens the returned signal, and an alarm is raised once obscuration exceeds the threshold. A laser is used to locate the prism, after which a motor steers the head and keeps it aligned as the building moves.

Ordering note

Four reflectors are required for separations beyond 50 m, and a short range mask must be fitted below 18 m. The 5000-103 is the UL/FM 8 to 50 m version. The same hardware is sold as 5000-101/5000-102 (EN) and 5000-112/5000-113 (NF). A second head is the 5000-031.
