Product details
The Potter LFH-24W is a 520 Hz low frequency sounder with an off-white faceplate. NFPA 72 calls for 520 Hz low frequency signaling in sleeping rooms, because this square-wave tone wakes sleeping occupants much more reliably than a standard high-pitched horn. The LFH sounds it in a temporal 3 pattern.
Key features
- 520 Hz square wave, temporal 3; temporal 4 available only with a Potter GTSM module
- Normal and loud output settings
- Runs on direct current or full-wave rectified power
- Super-Slide bracket mounts to 4 in. square and gang boxes
- Listed to ANSI/UL 464 and CAN/ULC S525
Ordering note
The LFH-24R is the same sounder in red, and the LFHS-24 series adds a strobe. The 88.3 dBA figure that appears in Potter specification wording is the CAN/ULC anechoic rating at 3 m on the loud setting (per the installation manual), not the UL 464 value listed above.
