VESDA VHX-0420 Modbus Type 3 HLI Standard

The VESDA VHX-0420 is the standard (unenclosed) Modbus Type 3 High Level Interface for VESDAnet aspirating smoke detection networks. It acts as a proxy for every VESDA device on the network, so a building management system or fire panel can read status and write control and configuration through Modbus registers. It connects to the network through a VESDAnet socket interface.

Ordering note

The VHX-1420 is the same Type 3 interface in a wall-mounted metal box with a built-in VESDAnet interface. The earlier VHX-0400 (Type 1) and VHX-0410 (Type 2) are limited to 40 detectors and do not support VESDA-E.
